🍂 Grounding into Autumn: Rituals of Release and Renewal
Hello my Lunas,
The first winds of autumn always whisper to me of change. 🍂 The leaves, once full of sun, now surrender gracefully to the earth. And I, too, feel called to let go, to soften, to come back to my roots.
Fall is not just a season outside of us it is a mirror of our inner world.
Every year, I notice how my body longs for warmth, how my spirit craves stillness, and how my heart gently asks for rituals that remind me of who I am beneath the noise of summer.
🌿 The Medicine of Autumn
In Ayurveda, this is Vata’s season — airy, cool, and ever-changing. We may feel scattered, restless, or even fragile. The medicine is simple: return to the earth. 🌍
✨ Warm oil on your skin.
✨ Spices in your tea.
✨ Journals filled with gratitude and release.
✨ The quiet comfort of routine.
When we honor the rhythm of the seasons, we remember that healing doesn’t have to be loud or grand — it can be as soft as lighting a candle at dusk.
This philosophy is at the heart of Ayurvedic massage therapy — a practice of reconnecting to your body through mindful touch, natural oils, and intentional slowness.
🌙 Moonlight Guidance: Rooting Before Rising
This week, the First Quarter Moon in Capricorn (Sept 29) steadies us, asking us to plant strong roots. Soon after, the Full Moon in Aries (Oct 6) ignites our courage — urging us to release fears and move boldly forward.
I feel this dance deeply: grounding first, then rising. Just as a tree roots into the earth before reaching toward the sky, we too must ground before we grow. 🌳✨
🌸 Rituals I Love to Share in Fall
1. Warm Oil Massage (Abhyanga):
Before my shower, I warm sesame oil between my palms and massage it lovingly into my body. This traditional Ayurvedic massage ritual nourishes the skin, calms the nervous system, and gently realigns energy. It’s one of the simplest forms of Ayurvedic therapy you can do at home — a sacred act of self-love.
2. Autumn Tea of Gratitude:
A gentle infusion of pumpkin, carrot, cinnamon, and calendula. I sip slowly, watching the steam rise like prayers. This is my way of honoring the season’s gifts — warmth, spice, and sweetness.
3. Journaling with the Moon:
At night, I write one thing I am ready to release and one intention I am ready to invite. I let the moon hold my words. 🌙
